In the absence of a national sponsor, the teams themselves are "footing the bill" and we are therefore looking for sponsorship to help with the
considerable costs involved. We think this may be achieved in a number of
Corporate sponsorship can take the form of a one-off payment in return for which the sponsor would receive recognition on the site and a link on the home page to their own site. The largest sponsor will be entitled to have their name or logo down both sides of the boat in prominent script which will remain there for the whole of this year. There will be considerable coverage of the race in all forms of media and especially from helicopters and we can ensure the sponsors name and logo figure prominently to receive high penetration and maximum marketing opportunities in such broadcasts and in the two films of the event which have been commissioned for worldwide distribution afterwards.
It may also be possible for sponsors to visit the boat before and/or after the race to go to sea and experience what it will be like to take part in this historic event or use the boat in any further promotional activity this year subject to agreement regarding costs.
The main sponsor will be invited with two guests to the start and finish celebrations at Southsea Castle with drinks and canapés and may be able to attend the prize giving ceremony of 1 July.
There will also be opportunities for all sponsors to enjoy corporate hospitality at venues and membership of the Round Britain Supporters Club with the benefits that come with that of a regular newssheet and special viewing of pits areas at all venues as well as special deals on merchandising.
It may also be possible to sell crew places on some or all of the legs. Further details will be posted in due course.
Such sponsorship and/or sales of places will be liable to VAT. Invoices will be issued by Khayyám Associates.
Alternatively, corporate sponsors may care to donate products that are specifically associated with the requirements of the race, i.e. navigational and/or safety equipment, paint/anti-foul, fuel/lubricants, medical supplies, etc. Sponsors may wish to consider loaning equipment for the duration of the race to be returned at the end.
The total distance to be covered is 1600 miles and we would welcome donations for the total distance from 1p per mile upwards and a facility exists on this site to allow these to be made electronically if required although they may still be sent direct to the address shown on the contact page of this site. A percentage of all donations received will be split between the RNLI and The Prostate Cancer Society and the amounts published after the event is ended.

We would be pleased to receive any other offers of assistance in ways we have not yet thought of!
